Xmal Deutschland – The Complete BBC Peel Sessions

4AD collects Xmal Deutschland’s 1981, 82, 83, and 84 Peel Sessions on this 2xLP release. I interpreted and expanded upon the collage singer Anja Huwe made after unearthing a risqué, never-used photo session. The inner sleeves contrast rigid Modernist type with exaggerated close-ups of band photography, while a black and red palette loosely links the release to the Gift boxset.
